After a customer calls in, we will gather as many details as we can before visiting the home to take measurement so we can provide a free estimate.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

David Amsalem began installing tile in the South Bay Area in 1987 with just one helper—Fredy, who later became our project manager. Over the years, the business grew with other key members like Ernie, our lead estimator, into a skilled team serving high-end homes throughout Silicon Valley, along with numerous commercial projects.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Some of our notable customers include Apple, Google, Westfield Valley Fair, Whole Foods and many luxury homes across Saratoga, Los Altos, and Atherton.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

One often-overlooked detail is how tile will look where it ends. What kind of trim or finishing piece will create a clean, seamless transition to the next surface? Getting this right makes a big difference—it’s what gives tile work a truly polished, professional look.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Start by deciding what tile you want installed—think about the color, size, and pattern you’re aiming for. While we can help guide grout selection, having your tile picked out ahead of time makes the planning process much smoother. Lastly, keep tile availability and shipping times in mind—sometimes the delivery schedule won’t align with your preferred installation date.
