We show up on time. Our work is done professionally and on time. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We never take a deposit. We dont take a payment until the job is started and the customer feels comfortable.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The first step is an introduction phone call and to set up an on sight meeting to go over the project and listen to and see what the customer is looking for and also to give advice and how to go about starting the project to include how the process will begin up until it ends while keeping the customer informed every step of the way.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yes in order to stay a Mass certified arborist and a Mass certified landscape professional you have to acquire a certain amount of credits yearly whether from education, training or CPR etc; Plus im always reading on my own to keep up with the latest industry trends

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I answered an ad from the lowell sun for a landscape laborer and got hired in 1985. I worked there for 3 years. Joined theArmy reserves and when I came back from basic I answered another ad and got hired there. Started out as a laborer and worked my way up to foreman within 4 years. Stayed with that company till the owner retired and started my own company in 2002. Have been going strong ever since.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Experience is HUGE!!!!! Ask for references. Make sure they have a website If possible try to hire a certified arborist and a certified landscape professional. This way you know you are hiring a professional with years of experience and knowledge. Always ask for insurance to include workmans comp

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

That it is a highly specialized profession especially when dealing with plantings and masonry. It takes years of experience. Im amazed at what ive learned since I was 19 when I started and what Im still learning. The hardest tests I have ever taken including college was the ones to become a Mass Certified Arborist and a Mass Certified Landscape Professional.
