Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our pricing is for custom work. We can phase in your project over time to help you afford your work if needed, or we can tackle small pieces each time you call.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to meet on site and get an idea of where the homeowner wants to take the project. From there I can either make an estimate on site or if it is a larger job build out a design over a week and come back to present the project. Generally the work can be installed within a month of the initial meeting.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a bachelor's degree in landscape design, landscape industry certified, registered pesticide applicator in 3a and 3b and have run a multi million dollar landscape company.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started in highschool in the greenhouse, worked as a delivery driver at a landscape supply store, studied landscape design at Kansas State and have been full time nearly a decade.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked on small jobs costing a few hundred dollars in townhomes and condominiums to multi million dollar projects in established neighborhoods.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I will be wrapping up a phased project for a homeowner, each phase lasted about 2 weeks and we installed 1 phase a year, finalizing the last portion of the yard now.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Honest answers even if they aren't what the homeowner wants to hear. Anyone can put the wrong plant in the wrong spot, find someone who can explain why that's not the best idea.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Having a budget in mind helps to steer the initial meeting.
