Introduction

We are a small company, so we have the opportunity to interact with our customers on a one on one basis. This allows us to get a feel for exactly what our customers are looking for. Another advantage our company has is that one of the owners is always onsite for the entire project. I love building a relationship with the customer. My grandfather taught me that to run a successful business you have to have "the old country store philosophy". This simply means that I want to treat the customer the way I would want to be treated if the roles were reversed.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We accept debit and credit cards as well as personal or business checks.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First I personally meet with the customer to get an idea of what they have in mind. Then we can work together to make sure the customer knows exactly what's going on with their project at all times. Good communication with our customers is the key. Because ultimately, it's my job to give the customer exactly what they are looking for. And the best way to do that is to listen to them.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have had the privilege to work with my grandfather and uncle in landscaping since I was a young boy. Hands on experience goes a long way, but this is a constantly changing industry. I believe in the importance of continued education. The more we know about our industry the better prepared we are to help our customers.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Find a contractor that loves what they do for a living. If they love what they do, it will show in their work.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Have a budget in mind. Think about what is most important about your project. Ask the person you meet and discuss your project with if they will be on site from start to finish.
