Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our turnkey installation pricing for artificial turf typically ranges from $9 to $13 per square foot for residential spaces, depending on the scope of work, access to the area, and the condition of the existing base. This includes removal (if needed), proper base preparation, turf installation, and finishing. We do not charge for initial estimates within our service area. Pricing for specialty services — such as putting greens, custom cuts, or large-scale commercial projects — may vary and will be quoted accordingly. We occasionally offer referral-based discounts or maintenance service credits for returning customers. Please feel free to reach out for more detailed pricing based on your specific project.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start by learning more about your project goals and space — whether it’s a backyard, putting green, commercial area, or pet-friendly install. Once we receive your inquiry, we’ll reach out to ask a few key questions and schedule a site visit to take measurements, assess access, and understand the scope. From there, we’ll provide a clear, itemized quote and answer any questions you may have. Once approved, we collect a deposit to secure materials and schedule your installation. Our team will then complete the project with attention to detail, keeping you informed throughout. After installation, we provide care instructions and ongoing support, and offer optional maintenance services for long-term turf care.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We are certified installers of AGL Grass, a premium line of high-quality, no-infill artificial turf products. Our team has been trained in AGL’s specialized installation techniques to ensure a clean, durable, and low-maintenance finish for every project. We're also proud to be the exclusive distributor of AGL Grass in Texas, giving us unmatched knowledge of the product and how to install it to the highest standards — whether for residential lawns, commercial properties, or custom applications.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We’ve worked with a wide range of customers — from homeowners looking to upgrade their lawns or build custom putting greens, to contractors, developers, and commercial property owners in need of durable, low-maintenance turf solutions. Our commercial work includes event spaces, recreational fields, courtyards, breweries, and retail centers, while our residential projects often focus on pet-friendly yards, family play areas, and aesthetic lawn transformations. No matter the project size, we aim to deliver a professional experience with lasting results.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When hiring an artificial turf provider, it’s important to look beyond just the price tag. Ask about the quality of the turf, the installation method, and whether the company offers a labor warranty and stands behind the product long-term. It’s also smart to ask for references or examples of past work — especially in your area or for similar project types. At TexasTurf, we combine years of hands-on experience with what we believe is the most advanced turf product on the market — one that is engineered to perform without requiring infill, unlike most traditional turf products. This means less maintenance, better drainage, and a cleaner overall result. We back our work with a 5-year labor warranty and a 15-year non-prorated manufacturer warranty — and we handle everything directly so you never have to deal with the manufacturer yourself. We’ve also been called in more than once to repair turf installations done by less experienced or lower-cost contractors, which often end up costing the customer more in the long run. If you're considering turf installation, choose a team that does it right the first time — with proper base preparation, the right product, and ongoing support you can trust. We're proud to be that team.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before reaching out to a turf professional, it helps to think through a few key questions that will guide the conversation and help you get the most accurate quote: - What will the turf be used for? (Pets, kids, putting green, general landscaping, high-traffic area?) - What size is the area? A rough square footage or a few photos can go a long way. - What’s currently in place? (Grass, gravel, concrete, nothing at all?) You should also ask professionals what kind of turf they use, how their installation process works, and what type of warranty they offer. Not all turf — or turf installers — are created equal. Some may offer cheaper pricing but skip key steps like proper base prep, drainage grading, or product selection. At TexasTurf, we help you think through all of these details, explain your options clearly, and guide you toward the right solution — so you feel confident before we ever begin the prep process.
