We will make sure the customer is satisfied with every aspect of the project.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

The following are services we offer: Landscape design & installation Grading Irrigation Custom paver installs Retaining walls Concrete flat work Hardscapes Sunken lounges Fire pits Outdoor kitchens Fairway sod projects Water smart yards Custom planter boxes Custom welding Artificial turf installs

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Most of us got started in our teens working for landscaping companies providing lawn care and landscaping installations. Throughout the years, we have grown and learned how to provide exceptional quality while understanding the importance of exceeding a customer's expectations.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We work with residential and commercial customers. We have worked on everything from small projects to large scale complicated projects.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We were hired to be creative and come up with an idea for a customer to create a sitting area in their backyard. One of our team leads came up with an idea to build a sunken lounge. It was very difficult with many potential complications. Our team took on the challenge and was excited to create something unique. The custom sunken lounge was built out of weather proof steel, custom precast pavers, and a propane fire pit. This project was a great challenge and a lot of fun. We completed the project and the customers were incredibly pleased. We still look back at the pictures and think, "Wow, that looks amazing!" It took about 30 days for everything to be completed. Lots of digging, welding, transporting material, and sweat.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
We would say first choose someone who has a passion and excitement for the trade and your project. It's important that the estimator is highly experienced and is eager to share ideas, recommendations, and important information. Make sure the communication and chemistry is spot on. You don't want to hire someone that struggles to capture your vision, lacks in communication, or just doesn't mesh with your personality or project. Lastly, get very detailed on the project scope and be realistic about possible project complications, timeframe, costs, and expectations. This will reduce the chance for disappointments or confusion.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1. What do they specialize in and how many projects have they done that are similar? 2. How busy are they? 3. Will their busy schedule potentially cause issues? 4. Are they licensed and insured? 5. How to get your yard landscaped without causing headaches for your neighbors? 6. Is the budget and timeframe realistic? Projects could run longer or may cost more for unexpected issues. 7. What is the process to complete the project? 8. Did they call Blue Stakes to have any underground utilities marked before work is started?
