What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Most common question I get is "We want to go with a composite" Composite materials vary in price depending on color. Rails vary in price depending on if the customer wants Cedar, composite, or aluminum. I carry a bag of composite samples to help the customer decide. I also carry guides of rail ideas.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Once the customer decides on size of deck and materials to be used, I get a half down deposit for the materials.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Been in the construction business for 27 years. Trained with several people who had a great reputation.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Worked for a couple of companies and decided that I could do all on my own.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Built a deck last summer with composite decking and aluminum rails that turned out great.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for contractor's who seem like they communicate well.

Size of project and budget.
