Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
$300 per hour is the base rate for a basic portrait session with ONE client. which includes all edits and your photos being sent electronically. Prices vary based on the unique details and needs of each shoot.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
When a customer first contacts me I want to make sure that what they have in mind is something that matches the style of work that I do. So I always ask for them to send me over some examples of what they are going for. If it is a good fit from there then we move forward to location, dates etc .

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have hands on experience for over 5 years. I also have experience with editing software and edit all my own photos. As a small business owner I understand the importance of our image and of choosing the right photographer.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I needed to have photos for my business and realized how much I would spend if I hired someone for every event. I learned how to shoot very quickly but then fell in love with the craft!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with all types of clients. From the business woman to the blogger. Mothers and their children, to women and their fur babies! I also specialize in boutique fashion photography. I have worked with everyone from basketball times to couples for engagement photos. I specialize in natural light outdoor photography.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Most photo shoots are one hour long, and all edits take approx. 2-3 weeks.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure that the photographer matches your style and the look you want. There are so many people to work with! In order to not be overwhelmed always look at their style of shooting and compare it to how you want your photos to look. That's a great place to start!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
The most important thing is always keep in mind the work that you want done, and whether or not the person you are contacting fits that style.
