Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Especially for larger projects, pricing can vary greatly depending on the scope. For smaller basic projects a pricing sheet is used and can be found on my website or by contacting me.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The processs will typically begin with a phone or email coversation to better determne the needs of the client. Photography and virtual tour projects tend to require less discussion and evaluation to determine scope. Design work will usually require much more. The number of expected initial design options "mock-ups" and revisions for design are reflected in the prices quoted.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Google Trusted Photographer Zillow Certified Photographer FAA Licensed Drone Pilot I am certified through Google as a Google Trusted Photographer. This credential required extensive training through Google and enables me to provide "Google Virtual Tours" and a related service "Google Business View" to businesses. Google Business View enhances online listings and provides other online marketing opportunities for businesses. This credential also enables me to provide contract work directly for Google. Much of this work is through their Google Business View for Hotels program. Through this program I provide photography and virtual tour services for hotels to be used on hotel websites and online listings. I also provide services for several photography agencies nationwide on a regular basis including RTV, Inc. RTV is considered the leading real estate virtual tour provider nationally. I am certified as a T4 (Tier 4) photographer through RTV enabling me to provide photography and virtual tour work for their most exclusive clients along the Gulf Coast. While I have a background and education in the related field of 3D modeling, much of my web and design skills/knowledge has been self-taught. I have experience through a local agency as a project manager where I traveled extensively and worked with substantially large clients to develop websites.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I was owner of a city-contracted curbside recycling business for over 10 years. During that time I grew a customer base to over 10,000 customers. I was directly responsible for the development and design of all marketing efforts. I enjoyed this role tremendously. It led to a new career as a designer, web developer, photographer and marketeer.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with, and continue to work with, clients as small as homeowners looking to put their home on the market and the smallest of storefront business owner -to- clients as large as major hotel and retail chains, industry level organizations and municipalities.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
For photography and virtual tours, I am able to provide a photoshoot within a week of accepting the work. Upon request, I may be able to provide the photoshoot within a few days. I ask for 48 hours to edit, moderate and upload photographs and virtual tours following the photoshoot. Timeframes for completing design work is provided on a project-by-project basis.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Especially for design work (including website design), try to be as detailed as possible when communicating you needs and vision. Communicating vision is tricky and requires effort. Providing relevant examples, thinking through how you would like your project to look and function, providing as much written and graphic content as possible will all help to reduce cost substantially - and ensure your satisfaction. Alternatively, you can leave all the creativity and vision in the hands of the designer, but, because it is not your own vision, it is usually less likely to meet your expectations and often more expensive.
