When I calculate the cost of a photoshoot I take into consideration: license type (corperate, exclusive, or non exclusive usage license), time spent photographing, and time spent editing.

I prefer to meet in person at least 2 weeks before the photoshoot to work out nessesary details and begin sketching ideas for potential images.

I am self taught, I was a photographer for my high school newspaper, as well as my college newspaper during my undergraduate education at the University of Kansas. I shoot various formats of film and digital.

I won a camera in third grade as a reward for a library readathon and that was the beginning of a lifelong facination with photography.

The majority of my clients require portraits, headshots, weddings, event photography and personal brand photography.

I photographed an Appassionata Duo concert at the Ambassador hotel recently. Jill and Jeff are amazing musicians and create a lovely atmosphere for their concerts. They have an enthusiastic audience and it's a joy to experince their amazing artistic talents.

Make sure you like the images presented on their website, check their reviews, maybe do a quick google search. Contact them with your prefered method of communication with as many details as possible.

Different types of photography (wedding, event, headshots, portrait, boudoir, photojournalism, landscape, archetectural, pet) have different priorities and details to be worked out by both the photographer and client. I would also suggest contacting photographers you are interested in early to secure a date for your photoshoot. If both the photographer and client are prepared with questions about details that concern them this can prevent any confusion in the future. Also, you will probably have to pay a deposit to book a date with a photographer.
