Introduction

Welcome! I am a polymathic artist. Please only reach out if you are seriously interested in moving forward. Thumbtack charges me $30-$50 just for you to contact me!!!! I am also with Blue Orchard Photography, so please don’t inquire to both accounts. I have been an artist all my life. My passions are painting, photography, embroidery, quilting, interior design, wreath design, and gift basket design. I am a mother of 4 kiddos, and I can make almost anything. If I haven’t done something, I’m confident that I can learn it quickly. I’m very social and a bit of a perfectionist. I am very flexible with hours. I have an Instagram with some of my art, but can provide more images and referrals by request.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I typically charge by square foot, plus cost of paint and supplies. I have reasonable prices, but I know my worth. Once I have seen the space and spoken with a client, I can give you a better idea of price.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
What I like to do with a customer is walk through the space with them, ask questions, and find the meaning of what they expect and want. I pay attention to the surrounding environment, so that my work is cohesive with the entirety of the clients home.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I went to school for photo journalism, but left before I could complete a degree. I married at the young age of 20 years old, so i mainly have life experience, which I believe is the most important education you can have.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I come from a family of artists. My grandfather was a store front window Artist back in the early 1900’s. I guess you could say it’s genetic. I have been working with different materials and textiles since I was little.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
My most recent mural was for a middle school teacher for her classroom. I have primarily done work in my own home, or commissioned art pieces or wall art like embroidery.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of my favorite projects was for my own daughter. I have 3 boys, so when she was born, I was obsessed with making her room perfect. I created a cacti wall along with other decorations, such as a mobile, hand embroidery, and chalk signs.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I believe art speaks to the observer. When you find something that you connect with, you should listen to your gut. Be sure to ask lots of questions, and remember that you get what you pay for.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I think that art speaks to the observer. Find something that speaks to you, and go with your gut.
