Introduction

(Hablo español) Hi! My name is Carlos Garcia and I've had the privilege of freezing cherished moments and transforming them into timeless memories for many years. My journey in photography and videography has been a continuous evolution, embracing new techniques and trends while staying true to the classic art of creating beautiful, authentic imagery. From the nervous excitement of getting ready to the heartfelt vows and the joyous celebrations, I strive to be unobtrusive yet present, ensuring that every fleeting glance, every tender touch is preserved for a lifetime. I understand the importance of this day and the significance of every image captured. That's why I approach each wedding with a commitment to not just meet expectations but exceed them. It's not merely a job; it's a responsibility and an honor to be a part of your special day. I'm thrilled at the prospect of being part of your wedding day, contributing to the magic that unfolds and preserving those priceless moments. Let's craft a visual story that you'll cherish forever.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing structure is uncomplicated. There are no tiered packages to upsell you. Except for the first hour, I charge a flat fee per hour - You will get the same quality of work whether your event is 2 hours or 6.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I fell in love with photography after the birth of my first son, 30+ years ago. After a couple of decades of photographing friend and family events, I had the opportunity to apprentice under a multi-media production company in the greater Sacramento area specializing in Indian and Middle-Eastern weddings. After that, I launched my own company, GarciaPics.com LLC, and have been capturing big smiles with my camera ever since.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I am a Hispanic American with extensive experience photographing Indian and Middle-Eastern traditional ceremonies which make up about 50% of my work. The other 50% is made up of all sorts of people with all sorts of lives. Whether someone celebrates the start of a new family or retiring from a career, I have covered it all.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently shot a Quinceañeara, the Latin version of a sweet sixteen and at the photo session, there was a line of people waiting for the "spot" to take the formal picture. I found a place between some bushes that had an incredible composition and asked my client if she would get in the bushes and she did. Once she saw the pictures, she was amazed at the beauty of a place everybody had ignored. Everyone but me.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Clients need to be comfortable and free of doubts when deciding on their photographer and ask as many questions as they feel are necessary, but 2 questions that should always be asked are: Has the photographer done something like your event before? And, can they back it up with sample pictures? Just these 2 questions can tell you whether you are about to entrust your special occasion to the right photographer or not.
