Introduction

Hi there, my name is Daniel Lennox. I'm a photographer based in Los Angeles. I specialize in portraits, weddings, events (corporate, birthdays, baby showers, sports etc.) as well as fashion / lifestyle and headshots photography. Some of my most recent work include photographing: * Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors for the brand 'HUE' * a 3 day event at LA convention center for Women 4 Tech * a 2day event at Disneyland in Anaheim, Ca for PAEA. * Olympian volleyball player Kerri Jennings Walsh for the brand KT Tapes And whether photographing someone's portrait, wedding or birthday party it's all the same to me. I look to capture the special moments of the day... the moments that you want to remember and cherish. So please take a look at my Thumbtack reviews to get a better sense of me and what I've done. And if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks so much for your consideration and I look forward to working with you. You can see all my work at lennox-photography.com And, for all my wedding work please visit lennox-weddings.com Daniel

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
It all depends on the clients needs but I'm always willing to work within the budget of each client.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
It's different each time. Some I speak to on the phone and some we just text and/or email each other back and forth to set up the session. And then once they're at my studio, I try to make them feel as comfortable as possible. We'll talk for a few minutes and get to know each other and then we will discuss wardrobe and figure out what exact looks they are wanting out of the session. And depending on the needs of the client I might show them some examples of different looks that I think work. Once we start shooting it's almost a constant conversation with me directing them on how to pose here and there. I tether shoot, which means, I shoot into a '27 Mac Desktop where we can view each image immediately after it's captured. I find this to be a good directing tool and provides the client with exactly how the images are coming along.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Arizona State & Art School College of Design in Pasadena, Ca

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I came to photography thru acting and filmmaking. I've acted for a number of years which allows me to have a great understanding of what it's like to be in front of a camera. It's not the easiest thing to have your picture taken. So my experience gives me a great ability to connect with the client and put them immediately at ease when they step in front of my camera.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All different types. Actors. Models. Musicians. Entrepreneurs. Doctors. Lawyers. Writers. Athletes.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I just recently photographed Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors. Klay is the brand ambassador for HUE For Every Man. HUE is a mens hair and skincare product. I had the privilege of photographing their first major campaign.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would say pretty much the same thing I said in the above question with the addition being maybe briefly speak to the professional on the phone. Hearing ones voice in a brief introductory conversation will give you a good indication if you can work and connect with that person.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers should think through what they want and need in each individual project. Then take a look at the quality of the individuals work and compare that to what you are wanting. And then lastly, compare rates and what you think the service is worth to you....and pick accordingly.
