Introduction

I've been in business for over eight years, with experience working alongside everything from large brands to everyday people and their families. Empathy and understanding are two of the most important things in photography, in my opinion. It's with these in mind that I provide my clients with services that seek to understand their project as much as possible before moving forward. I've worked a number of different jobs in the marketing and advertising world. As a result, I'm able to adapt my understanding and perspective to the client and project in a way that translate through the image. My favorite thing about being a photographer is capturing the sort of image that causes my client to nod their head enthusiastically and shout out "YES" when they see the progress made. There's no better feeling in this business than a satisfied client.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

It's flexible to a degree, but completely fair.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I prefer to start with an initial consultation with my clients to suss out what the parameters for the project are, what sort of goals they have in mind, and set the proper expectations for all parties involved. This is typically the most tedious part, but once finished it makes the actual shoot a breeze and allows everyone to relax and have some fun.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Marketing. Through these degrees, I was able to understand how to tell a story and illicit responses. This sort of training carries over quite perfectly to photography.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I bought a camera after finding out that I really love shooting photos with my iPhone. After a couple years of practice I went pro.

What types of customers have you worked with?

CEOs, marketing agencies, real estate/development companies, brands, parents, families, etc. If a project intrigues me I'm going to pursue it.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be as clear as you can be about what you're wanting and expecting. If you have no idea, then communicate that and empower the photographer to guide you with their expertise and artistic voice. Our job isn't just to take pictures, but to help craft a narrative that otherwise was not entirely knowable to all parties involved prior to the shoot.
