Introduction

Engagement/SF City Hall 1000 includes travel+2 rolls of medium format film Currently offering free 1.5-2 min highlight video for couples that book SF City Hall. Proposal 500, Covers the moment itself and 45-60min of shooting time after Weddings/Elopements/Ceremonies 500/hr All wedding/proposal shoots come with online gallery delivery of all sorted+edited photos, 1+ rolls of film, and travel within the Bay Area. My personal philosophy when it comes to working with clients is to make the experience of hiring me as easy as possible. I'm not one to beat around the bush, and I hate wasting my client's and my own time on things that don't matter. The process for inquiry is to check with the client for job type, and availability for event/job date. From there I'll answer any questions the client may have, either through text or call. If things work out, I will digitally send the client a contract for the event/job. Half the total amount will be due at time of signing. We'll take the photos, and I'll send back the photos through an online gallery for clients to download off of. If you've read to this part, I thank you for your time, and I can't wait to hear from you :)

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My rates cover travel+editing+shooting and for weddings I include at least 1 roll of film for free as that’s my signature. Also there’s a discount if you book video with me as well.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Client sends me an inquiry. We check on availability and pricing to see if we're a good fit together. Contract is signed, and deposit is paid. Photographs are magically produced (just kidding we gotta take photos) I edit the photos and send them back to clients through an online gallery. Clients download photos.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
15 years of self taught photography. Numerous weddings, events, portrait sessions, and just a whole assortment of client work.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Happened naturally after learning photography for 8 years. At first I went through the growing pains of a small business, but I’ve gotten a handle on things as time progressed.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with a wide range of characters at this point. Majority of clients are just everyday people who need a photographer to photograph the special moments of their lives. Sometimes it can be hard for people to be in front of the camera, but at the end of the day as a photographer it's my job to capture their genuine selves.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I love working with couples at SF City Hall, it’s such a great venue with so many pretty photo spots to choose from.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
There's no point in hiring a professional if their style of work doesn't fit with the kind of person you are.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Do I actually intend on hiring the professional? No one likes to be ghosted, and especially on a service like thumbtack where professionals are charged each time they receive an inquiry.
