What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As a photographer, I believe in being transparent about my pricing and fees. Here are some things that my customers should know about my pricing:
Firstly, I offer different packages to suit different needs and budgets. Each package includes a specific number of hours of photography, edited digital images, and prints. I also offer add-ons such as additional hours of photography or albums.
Secondly, I offer discounts for certain events or situations. For example, I offer a discount for military personnel and their families, as well as for repeat clients.
Thirdly, I charge a fee for travel outside of my local area. This fee covers my time and expenses for traveling to and from the location of the shoot.
Lastly, I require a deposit to secure the date of the shoot. This deposit is non-refundable but will be applied towards the final cost of the package.
In summary, my pricing is based on the packages I offer, with discounts available for certain events and situations. I also charge a fee for travel outside of my local area and require a deposit to secure the date of the shoot. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, my typical process involves several steps to ensure that I understand their needs and can deliver the best possible results.
First, I like to have an initial consultation with the customer to discuss their vision for the project, their goals, and any specific requirements they may have. This helps me to get a clear understanding of what they are looking for and how I can best meet their needs.
Next, I will work with the customer to develop a plan for the shoot, including the location, timing, and any necessary equipment or props. I will also provide guidance on wardrobe and makeup, if needed.
On the day of the shoot, I will arrive early to set up and ensure that everything is in place. During the shoot, I will work closely with the customer to capture the images they are looking for, providing guidance on posing and expression as needed.
After the shoot, I will carefully select and edit the best images, ensuring that they meet the customer's expectations and are of the highest quality. I will then deliver the final images to the customer in the format of their choice, whether that be digital files or prints.
Throughout the process, I strive to provide excellent customer service and clear communication, ensuring that the customer is happy with the final results.

Recently I was asked to capture a school camping trip to Catalina Island. The project consisted of me going on the trip, capturing all of the elements including jumping in the water with my camera housing and telling the story of the childrens adventures. The content created was delivered to every parent, and the school was able to utilize the images for their website and marketing platforms. I loved being part of the adventure, this enabled me to tell the story accurately and bring the excitement and emotion into the images.
