Introduction

I'm Kelly Sharp and I'm a second generation photographer, raised on film photography. My style is all about natural colors, true-to-life edits, and capturing the day as it felt. I keep things fun, low-pressure, and totally comfortable—no forced poses or awkward vibes. Just beautiful photos of you being you. Let’s make magic and memories (and maybe cry a little at your vows—no promises). All my photo packages include pro planning in an online client gallery, polaroids, 35mm film, and unlimited high res digital downloads in a private online gallery. Talk soon! Kelly

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My uncle was an adventure nature photographer in the 70s and my last name is Sharp...so photography in in my blood. I began taking portraits in high school, worked for a wedding photographer for a while, and then branched out to start my own business! I challenge myself creatively with travel photography, self portraits, and outdoor adventures. I love this job and the incredible humans I meet.

What types of customers have you worked with?

My client base is a diverse group of people! Love is love, I photograph souls, stories, and smiles. The thing all my clients have in common is the desire for a meaningful wedding experience! I’ve photographed couples on their 5th marriages, 20 year old couples, 83 year old couples, couples eloping on a whim, couples who’ve been planning an elopement for 2 years, and couples who can’t afford and don’t want big weddings. ALL are welcome Bottom line is: whoever you are, my couples have a blast and the photos are authentic.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Recently, I planned an engagement session in the Northern CA coastal redwoods. After getting to know the couple via phone/facetime, we decided on making a trip to the redwoods for their shoot. We hiked around an epic spot I scouted, laughed, popped plenty of bubbly, and the photos reflected those 2 adventurous souls in love. Their wedding in Bodega Bay, CA is coming up next month!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
What's the difference between an expert and a professional? Can you easily get ahold of your photographer? Do you feel like your photographer is getting to know you?

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Do you want engagement photos? They’re a great addition to my wedding packages and help us get to know each other and celebrate your love pre-wedding! Are you camera shy? I am pretty camera shy myself... whether you strut yo stuff or shrink away from the lens, I help everyone feel comfortable. What is your budget? Normalize talking pricing, customization, nitty gritty details, etc. Do you want a first look? The classic pre-wedding, teary-eyed-groom, pics. Are you traveling to your wedding destination? Do you know the area?
