Introduction

Hello! My name is Joe Greto and I'm based in West Hollywood! First, I need to say, please be serious about booking a shoot if you choose to contact me here since we get charged for everyone that reaches out. Thank you :) As a photographer, I create photos that tell a story while having an exciting, cinematic feel. I enjoy shooting weddings, engagements, and proposals because they are so special! Capturing such a momentous day is very rewarding! I'm also very experienced in headshots as well as events, fashion, editorial, commercial and on-set photography. If you're looking for portraits, I have access to professional hair and makeup artists as well, if needed. I love to keep my shoots fun and exciting while keeping my subjects relaxed and comfortable in order to create memorable photos that will last and last and last. Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is based on time. Travel time. Photography time. Editing time. All of that factors into my pricing. When it comes to headshots, lifestyle, and glamour, if we agree to a one-hour shoot then you can change your wardrobe as much as you want within that hour's time.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
It depends on what type of job it is but normally I prefer a phone call at least to discuss what the client is looking for. Sometimes a formal face to face meeting is valuable in order for my client to get a feel for me and vice versa. Being relaxed and comfortable are two things that help make great photos.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Experience. The more you shoot the better you get. I've had a camera in my hand since I was a kid so I might not know all the technical aspects of photography, but I can assure you have a great eye and I know how to talk to my subjects to get them relaxed and confident in front of the camera.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I always loved taking photos as a kid but it wasn't until I was shooting videos and short films that I decided to focus more on making a living doing photography.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I seem to attract a lot of engagement and couples' shoots lately. I love the outdoors and combining a couple in love with a pretty landscape lends to memorable photos. I've done a bunch of weddings as well. The key is to stay calm amidst the chaos to capture the day honestly. I've also worked with models, actors, and performers as well as people in the corporate world. Having a great photo to represent you is very important in this modern tech-savvy society.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I did a "Save the date"/engagement shoot with two people who work as scientists. We met at Point Dume in Malibu and created some beautiful shots. The couple was open to my suggestions to help them loosen up and we ended up with some gorgeous shots. A little movement from the couple always looks great in photos so don't be shy :)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure you really like their portfolio and that you feel comfortable with your photographer. If your photographer feels like a friend then you'll feel relaxed and I guarantee you will get great photos.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Make sure you are serious about shooting. Have an idea about what you want. Offering reference pics is always helpful to show me what you are looking for whether it's a corporate headshot, an engagement photo, event photography, or anything for that matter.
