Del was able to do our shoot with only a few hours notice and drove 2 hours to our remote location. The photos look wonderful and exceeded our expectations. Del was professional and we received raw copies 12 hours after the shoot ended. We traveled 1000 miles to do this photo shoot so Del saved us from a really tough situation. We couldn't be happier! What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
1. Connection & Discovery – We start by listening. Whether it's a wedding, a brand, or a cultural milestone, we want to understand your vision and values. 2. Custom Proposal – We'll craft a simple, elegant outline with scope, timeline, and mood. 3. Production Day(s) – Whether in-studio or deep in the forest, we bring a calm, intentional presence and cinematic eye. 4. Post-Production – We edit everything in-house, delivering professional-grade photos and videos with warmth, clarity, and soul. 5. Delivery & Archiving – Your media is delivered digitally (and optionally on a drive), and we retain backups for peace of mind.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We bring over two decades of experience in photography, cinematography, editing, and creative direction. That’s paired with lived cultural immersion, nonprofit storytelling, and deep community work—particularly with Indigenous wisdom keepers. Our education includes both formal study and sacred apprenticeship.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
It started with a camera, a love of nature, and a calling to document what truly matters. Over the years, that calling turned into a profession—one that honors love, land, legacy, and liberation. Deepsky Sacred Arts was born to offer visual storytelling that’s both cinematic and sacred.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We've worked with a diverse range of clients—from engaged couples eloping in the mountains, to impact-driven entrepreneurs, cultural educators, nonprofits, and longtime collaborators like the team at Measured. We especially love working with those who value integrity, creativity, and timeless media.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One standout was an emergency elopement shoot where the original photographer canceled same-day. We jumped in with a few hours’ notice, drove two hours to a remote mountain location, and delivered the edited photo set by the next morning. It was pure magic—and the kind of challenge we live for.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Hire someone who actually listens. Someone who doesn’t just “shoot”—but sees. Ask about their values. Look at their consistency across platforms. And trust your gut: do they honor story, beauty, and trust? Do their past clients feel seen? That’s the real test. 🎯

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What feeling do I want the final product to evoke? Who is this media truly for—me, my family, my community, my legacy? Do I want it to feel posed and polished, or natural and alive? What kind of creative collaborator do I work best with—structured, flexible, intuitive? The more clarity you bring, the more powerful the final creation will be.
