I'm lucky enough to love what I do, so I don’t have to charge a lot to do it.

I get to know them and ask them what they want to make sure they get it.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I started as a portrait photographer for Sears years ago.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

A camera for my 16th birthday. Thank you, Mom.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently photographed a group of guys that wanted an ironic shoot complete with fanny packs, jean shorts, and turtlenecks in Summer. What a fun shoot! The whole shoot was about 45 minutes and editing took a bit longer but it was well worth the result.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you like their past work. It is the best example of what to expect.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What day and time works best for everyone in your party? How long do you expect the event to take place? Do you want to pick the location? Many times photographers know good ones. Do you know how to coordinate outfits or do you need some help from the photographer?
