Introduction

Hi, my name is Tracy Sgroi Mark! I actually started my photography journey on the other side of the lens - as a model- back in 2010. This is where I learned about lighting, angles and more importantly what makes someone feel comfortable doing such an uncomfortable thing. Having someone take your photograph is simply put, just awkward. I didn't put myself out there as a photographer until 2015. Understanding how it is behind the lens makes me able to capture the moments that matter as a photographer in front of the lens. Candid, real and loving moments is what I live for, so please hire me if you want a comfortable, relaxed and fun photo-shoot experience!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
All of my clients are offered a unique package deal depending on location, time and editing. I am ALWAYS willing to adjust any pricing options so you are comfortable with your finalized price and package.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Your satisfaction is everything to me!! When working with new customers, I value honesty. Tell me what you want and tell me what you don't want. I am here to make sure we nail that picture you've always wanted so I love seeing your Pinterest boards and what is inspiring you. I prefer to hear updates of our shoot along the way before we meet up and get those killer shots!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a self-taught photographer that figured out what works through trial and error. I got my first real camera when I was 15 years old and took photos of everything and anything. I got into modeling at the age of 20, where I continued my photography training, but just on the other side of the lens! This was vital for me in learning what makes people feel comfortable, what doesn't work (overpriced photographers) and what people want (more than 8 edited photos please)! I continued my education getting my bachelor's in Psychology and my Master's in Mental Health Counseling. While this has nothing to do with photography, it has help me to meet some amazing people along the way and help me communicate better with my clients.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After taking photos of my family and friends for years, I realized why not offer my services to their family and friends! I was nervous to start and in the beginning just worked off of referrals of people I knew.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with some amazing families, couples, mothers, yoga instructors, children, lawyers, authors, brides, graduates, newborns and other photographers.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers should think about how many photos they want in return. A lot of photographers in this industry only give back a small selection of photos. When I was a model, I found this to be so frustrating. This is why I give back ALL good photos I take. I don't need them and you hired me to do just that. Minus the ones of you blinking or talking, I edit the photos (both black and white and color edits) and return them to you through an online album.
