Introduction

Hi, I'm Karl Moore, an Atlanta based photographer specializing in Sports, People, Commercial, and Corporate Events. MOORESHOTS started because of my dad. Growing up, I watched him taking pictures of trains, depots, and railroad related items. In his retirement, my dad started his own business selling his images all over the world, and saw his pictures grace the covers and pages of railroad magazines and books. Years later as my own kids started to play sports, I wanted to capture those moments in pictures to document their lives. Picking up a camera allowed me to do this, as well as spend a little more time with my dad. Today, I am pursuing my dream as a professional photographer and visual storyteller traveling all over the country and beyond. Working as a photojournalist for over a decade has taught me how to tell a story through images and how to capture the details. It's fun being able to take the ideas of my clients and exceed their expectations through my artistic vision. I'm very blessed to work with a great group of clients that include some of the top pro sports teams, universities, law firms, tech companies, ad agencies, and magazines in the Atlanta area. I love using photography as my medium, to translate the visions I see of the world around me into images of all kinds. Now, just like my dad, many of my images have graced the covers and pages of books, magazines, billboards, stadiums, commercial properties, and numerous media outlets. Thanks Dad! PLEASE SEE BELOW for my rates under "Questions and Answers" and thank you for considering me.

For Headshots: I enjoy working with companies and individuals to provide anything from formal headshots to casual headshots in front of corporate logos or equipment for use on websites and social media. You can see some of my work on my profile and website under "People" and "Commercial." My rates for headshots are simply a $300 set up fee where I provide the background, full studio lighting, an assistant, and shooting tethered to a laptop to see the results immediately. After that, I charge $100/person that includes full portrait retouching for a minimal, realistic look. For Creative Commercial Work/Magazine Shoots: My clients hire me when they need something more creative and artistic. You can see some of my work on my profile and website under my "People" and "Commercial" galleries. My work has appeared on billboards, magazine covers and print in a variety of places. I've also had my work used in campaigns that have been translated into 10 different languages and used all around the world. Recently, I've been working with a local university to help provide the creative direction with their rebranding and switch to Adidas uniforms. I'm also in my 10th season with the Atlanta Braves AAA team in Gwinnett as their team photographer and shoot game action, team photo, and the cover images for the game day magazine handed out in the stadium. My rates for magazines and creative work vary. I would propose that we talk more to discuss the specifics of your project to determine the scope of work, cost for the project, artistic vision, and the deliverables. For all types of work, contact me to answer specific questions. Thanks for considering me. Karl Moore Mooreshots LLC

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
My typical process in working with a new customer is to move from emails and texts to phone calls as soon as possible. This allows me to start establishing a rapport with the new client and helping to better understand their needs. If I'm working a corporate event, then I always show up at least an hour before the event to meet you, go over the timing of events, and get acclimated to my surroundings. For commercial and magazine work, I like to meet in person before the day of the shoot to establish a rapport with you and understand exactly what your vision is and then find the best way to bring it to reality.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been taking pictures for over 20 years now. Through out this time, I've taken photography classes and worked as a photojournalist for 12 years covering news and sports for newspapers and magazines. I've also been the team photographer for the Atlanta Braves AAA club here in Gwinnett for the past 8 seasons. My quest for learning has never stopped and I'm always trying to learn new things every day.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My photography started when I picked up a camera to start taking pictures of my boys playing soccer. 20 years later, it all came full circle when I was shooting for Atlanta United as they won the MLS Cup in December of 2018.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I'm very blessed to do what I do and have a great group of clients. My largest clients are the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United. Outside of that comes Georgia Tech and Piedmont University. I also have a great group of corporate clients that I work with for all of their events. This includes law firms, tech companies, hotels, and many others. Since I am also a creative artist, I'm very fortunate to work with several ad agencies and magazines. Several of my images have been used on billboards, tickets, stadiums, magazines, and posters all over the world.
