Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Prices vary based on many different factors and is not always reflected on thumbtacks initial quotes. We provide multiple packages starting at $165. Price determination is based on: property size, location (distance traveled) whether soft staging is required or not and how much or if staging consultation is requested, special editing requests etc. Please don’t hesitate to reach out regarding your project and I’d be more than happy to help! Standard packages include interior/exterior photos, basic editing, 24 hour delivery and standard package with staging includes soft staging in vacant home. Discounts available with multiple listings and for those within a few miles of my home. I'll also give a discount for referrals.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Customer contacts me, we discuss the project to determine if we are a good fit. We will then discuss if there are any add-ons the customer may want, special staging requirements such as hung wall art. Then once decisions are made I'll provide the quote and we will figure out what date/time works best for you. We then discuss staging basics so the house is ready to shoot when we arrive. There may be additional fees if there are special staging requirements that would take more time for us to set up.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have my BA in business administration from the University of Southern Maine. I'm also a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
For Real Estate, I started working with one realtor then branched out from there to work with others as well as interior designers, Airbnb/Vrbo owners, FSBOs, painting and siding companies and renovation companies. I started photographing sports when my kids were old enough to play. I then became the Gymnastics team photographer for many years. When my son switched to soccer I honed those skills to capture him and his teammates. I've since photographed theater performances, other charity events (7 years of action packed survivor like challenges) headshots and senior portraits. See examples of my work at LisaLittel.com.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Realtors, home owners, interior designers, renovation companies, Airbnb/Vrbo owners, hotels, painting companies, roofing/siding companies, graduating seniors, parents of kids in sports and charities.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I've been the photographer for a charity that is as close to the real survivor that you can get. Its a multi-day event with lots of fun challenges to photograph. Every year is different with lots of personalities and twists and turns. I love capturing everything that goes on during the event so the contestants have photographs to remember it by. I've had many photographs published in various publications such as Time online, Cosmopolitan online, newspapers at some of the contestants hometowns and local newspapers. The photos are the primary photos for the charities marketing and social media campaigns. All the charity photos can also be seen on my website.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
You want to work with someone that you can connect with, that is responsive and that is reliable to get the job done the way you want and show the property in its best light.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What is the end use for the photos? How much do you want to spend on your project? What is the audience for your photo's? For Real Estate, do you want twilight or aerial photo's? Are there any rooms you do not want photographed, if so tell the photographer ahead of time. Are there any detailed hardware or characteristics you want photographed? Are you staged and ready to go when the photographer arrives? Will there be any furniture in a vacant house that will be used as part of the staging? Do you have special staging requests? Discuss ahead of time Do you want virtual staging? Do you want a 2D floor plan or virtual tour?
