Introduction

PLEASE READ: Please visit my website to see my upcoming availability and portfolio! Thumbtack is a great way to connect with customers, but the platform makes photographers PAY for every message you send, even if we don't end up working together. Please only contact me via Thumbtack if you are serious about working together. Hi! I'm Nicole and I'm a photographer, dancer, and artist based in Cambridge, MA. I picked up my first camera my senior year of high school and haven't stopped shooting since. As a dancer and performer myself, I know exactly how to capture the right lines and get the headshot to help get you booked! I use the same techniques to help you bring approachability and confidence to business and branding shoots.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My primary goal is to keep my pricing affordable and fair. Quality photography -- especially headshots for actors, artists, and dancers -- shouldn't be as rare as it is. I put attention and care into each of my sessions so that we capture the images you need. I'm also happy to design a package that fits your budgeting needs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start with an email where you can tell me what you're looking for in a photoshoot session! Let me know what dates/times are best for you and whether you'd like to be in- studio or outdoors. I'll recommend a session design and give you a quote from there!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I've been working with photography since I was 16 years old. I've been developing my skills with lighting, post-production, and composition for the last ten years!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
At first, I would take photos for friends and family at school dances, parties, and weddings. When I became a professional dancer myself, I became more interested in the art of headshot and portrait photography. Your headshot is the first thing a casting director sees and what they keep after an audition to remember you by. Your headshot should let you say, "Hire me!" without saying anything at all!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with all different people -- from children to adults, couples and families, actors to entrepreneurs to hobbyists. We design the look and pace of each photoshoot around the client's taste and needs.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I've had the chance to take business headshots for people all over the area -- some just graduating from college, some long established updating their media presence, and others who just got their dream job! I love meeting new people and hearing their stories.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for a photographer who's style you like -- their portfolio is a great example of what you can expect when you hire them!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1) What goal do I want my photos to help me accomplish? 2) How long would I like to spend in-session? 3) How many final edited images do I want? 4) What is my timeline to receive my final edits? 5) Do I want to shoot in-studio or on-location outdoors?
