Introduction

I LOVE creating headshots for people. It's my goal at every shoot to make my subjects enjoy the experience and love their images. It's a very collaborative experience and most people comment how easy it really is. I love making images for people who think they don't take good pictures. It feels good to show them that they really do!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
A single headshot is $175 which includes the session and one retouched digital image. Additional images can be added for $50 each. We'll shoot several images at the shoot and you can pick your favorite(s) for purchase.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I really want everyone to feel comfortable before they arrive at my studio. I'll send info on how to find me, what to wear and invite any questions you might have.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have attended several photography workshops and courses taught by some of my favorite photographers.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After spending several years in the IT world I wanted to do something that was more fulfilling and meaningful. My wife Madie and I started our photography business in 2010. Now, I'm a full time photographer and Madie is a full time stay at home mom.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've photographed portraits and headshots of folks from many walks of life. From classical musicians to financial planners, construction workers to CEO's, I've captured hundreds of unique people and expressions.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I am volunteer photographer for The Gold Hope Project. I get to photograph children and families who are in the midst of childhood cancer. Getting to be part of the healing process is a great honor to me.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Find a photographer that you feel comfortable working with so that they can draw the best out of you. When looking for inspiration, look at the photographers portfolio not random Pinterest boards. After all, you wouldn't go to Burger Moe's and ask them to make a Smashburger. :) That's the best way to make sure you're going to love your images.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What are you going to use your new images for? What feel and mood do you want to communicate? Does the image need to match existing images?
