Introduction

I am a creative portrait photographer and retoucher/editor and I love to tell stories through imagery. With a keen focus on listening to my clients needs, I go above and beyond to deliver results better than what they expect; dream like pieces of art that can adorn the walls of my clients' home. With a passion for learning and growth, I continuously work on sharpening my skills as a photographer and a creative retoucher. Some of accomplishments include being featured on a number of online magazines as well as my work being selected to be showcased at the MN State Fair 2019. My motto - Change is the only constant. So if you are not growing or improving, you are stagnant or dieing. And neither of those situations are great! So better buck up and start moving towards your dreams and goals - one small step at a time!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
That it is a flat rate and can be subject to change.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
1). Understand customer vision - I try and get to know them as people and have them share some inspiration photos. 2). Location - Then work with them on finalizing location. If they do not know what one to go with I try and pick a location that would match their vision in #1. 3). Outfits and props - This is super essential step to the final finished product. I make sure we come up with few different options that would tell a story about who the person or couple is.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a self-taught photographer. My work in other forms of media arts such as video production, blogging, makeup artistry have all added to my expertise in photography.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
In college I dabbled in post processing work on Photoshop. And right after college when I had enough money saved up I started to truly get into photography. My father has been my greatest inspiration as he was an awesome photographer himself!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Models, high school seniors, family, couples, kids

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Max Lemberger and I collaborated on a mens vintage fashion project where we tried to recreate a look from the early 1900s. The ideation process took us a month and half and the Photoshoot lasted 2 hrs. It was an awesome experience! I was able to deliver upto 10 edited photos in 2 weeks.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Please review the photographers work and talk to them about their style before you sign up with them. If you have signed up with them then Ideate over ideas and send inspiration photos so they are clear about what to deliver. It’s important to solidify the expected results upfront vs regret later.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What is the need for getting the photos taken? Are they celebrating an occasion? What kind of results are they looking for? What will the photos be used for - social media, printing, both? How do they describe who they are?
