Introduction

Photography is not just taking pictures, it is creating art. I have over 10 years of experience capturing life’s beautiful moments. I am passionate about making sessions fun, stress-free, and individualized for clients. I help with planning outfits, reluctant dads, all posing, event timelines - anything to alleviate stress so clients love their sessions and come back time and again!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing has been set up over the years to reflect my time and worth. It is set and I do not negotiate pricing.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I am a huge communicator. I like to sit down in person with clients to go over relevant details and a timeline for sessions and events. I like to establish relationships with my clients and not just show up as a stranger. The day of the event or session I am all energy so clients can relax and not have to worry about a thing. Everything from choosing locations to the exact right head tilt is my job!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have mentored under several industry-leading photographers for every area of photography; technique, lighting, posing, editing. I have traveled for workshops, continuously train online, and am always practicing new techniques!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My children inspired me to pick up a camera. I wanted to capture whimsical images of them which is easier said than done! They taught me how to ‘speak kid’ when posing children because everything is very very literal. They are still my favorite and most challenging subjects!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Let me begin by saying I love my clients. Love. Photography has given me the ability to connect with so many different people. I have beautiful brides, joking couples, shy seniors, wild children, exhausted mothers, bold divas, business professionals, and precious babies for clients and they make my job ridiculously fun and dynamic. I am a huge fan of people - show up as you!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
My sister and I traveled to Mexico to photograph a company during their training meetings and exercises. It was mind-blowing! The company did a training program at a horse ranch where they had to get in touch with their inner-selves by getting the horses to trust them. We had no idea what to expect. It was a day full of laughter, pure emotion, tears, and humility. Apart from the fact that we were in Mexico which is always amazing, this experience was so unique. We are still pinching ourselves that it ever even happened!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Do not base it on price alone. You do not get a second chance to capture these moments! Find someone accountable with beautiful work!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What draws you in to a certain professional’s work? What are your must-haves? What are specific examples of previous work that you love most? Do you have a certain vision for your session?
