What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depending on the project, we either have a set hourly rate, or we discuss a customized fee based on what is being requested, the duration of the session needed, and the location.
With any of our sessions, all edited, high-resolution images are included in the session package and rate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
That's a great question!
We always invite potential customers to schedule a complimentary call with us via phone or video call, where we can really dive deep into the details of what they are looking for.
From an event, to product photography, family photos, or rebranding an entire website, we want to ensure that we are the right fit for you, and we find that these calls give us a chance to connect in an energetic and authentic way with our prospective clients.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a self taught photographer and have been working full time running my photography business for 13 years.
I started out initially photographing interior and exteriors of designer and architects projects throughout Dallas Texas, and quickly expanded my business to include portraits, events, family, wedding, and product photography.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a large variety of clientele throughout my 13 years of owning my business full time.
From People Magazine, Austin Monthly, HELLO Magazine, The Washington Post, and Cosmopolitan, to hundreds of local families, celebrities, personally owned businesses and brands, across the US.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would highly recommend requesting a full photoshoot portfolio/gallery of a specific event, photoshoot, project, to ensure the consistency of the deliverables you are hiring someone for.
Many photographers will highlight a few enchanting images to capture a potential client's interest, or only show their very best work on social media, but take little to no care with the remaining images once they have the 1-3 exceptional images to show for their work.
I would highly encourage you to inquire deeper into any photographer's work that you are looking to work with, and see if their full scope of work reflects consistency, care, and skillset.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
That is a great question!
I love communicating with my clients via an intake call to see if we are good fit, that's always a great start! Communication and connection is really key for me when working with clients.
Feeling out the energy of each other, seeing if our schedules align, if my aesthetic and approach to photography is what a client is truly looking for, etc!
Inclusivity. Creating a safe and supportive environment for our clients is of the utmost importance. If this is an aspect that is important to you, I would highly recommend doing research on or directly asking any photographer you are intending to hire if this is something that is also important to them.
Location look and feel is always a helpful detail to discuss if we are planning a photoshoot that doesn't have a designated or specific location! (ie portrait photography, family photos, engagement session, brand session!)
Your budget. My session pricing is very straight forward and I do not hold dates or time on my calendar prior to a contract signed and invoiced paid in full, or in deposit increments depending on the project.
Someone's need or desired turn around time. Unless there is an urgent need for images to be delivered, (ie a product launch deadline) we do not work on a instant turn around basis. We take great care and attention to our images and will only deliver the best quality of gallery to our clients.
If someone is looking for instant turn around on images, or RAW files, those are both services we unfortunately do not provide.
