We decided that we were willing to "be the change we wanted to see" and started Cadence of Grace. For longer than we can remember we have been a part of making love stories possible! After 15+ years of being involved in weddings in other capacities (i.e planner, officiant, decorator and pre-marital counselor), we found a passion for being behind the camera and delivering beautiful images that capture moments that would otherwise be lost to time! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our packages include Engagement Shoots! We are willing to create custom packages. We offer TWO editing styles: 1.) “Bright and Airy” 2.) “Timeless and Classic” Also - we are willing to mix both to create a salt and pepper gallery!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Here are the general steps: 1.) Potential customer identified. 2.) Package brochure is sent (including a detailed summary of all service provided) 3.) An initial consult is scheduled and conducted 4.) An official proposal with a contract is written with in 24 hours and delivered via email for signing and countersigning. 5.) Payment of the retainer is made - this solidifies the booking 6.) The complimentary engagement shoot is scheduled and conducted 7.) Engagement shoot photos delivered via online gallery ASAP so invitations and save the dates can be sent 8.) Additional consultations added on a case by case basis. (Anything from vows to the timeline of the day to wedding inspired in general) 9.) One month out final consult as we ensure all details are clear - everything about locations timeline and shots. 10.) Final scout of location conducted 11.) Wedding day 🎉 CRUSHED! 12.) Deliver photos through online gallery within 30 days (including all touch ups and edits) 13.) Follow up one week later to ensure expectations met or exceeded and client is satisfied! If yes - Job complete!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

After 15+ years of being involved in weddings in other capacities (i.e planner, officiant, decorator and pre-marital counselor), we found a passion for being behind the camera and delivering beautiful images that capture moments that would otherwise be lost to time! Since picking up a camera for the first time many years ago, we have spent countless hours taking classes to refine our craft. We’ve studied from a place of photographic composition, graphic arts design, social media marketing and even large scale broadcast experience. Even as of recently - within the last month - we have invested 100’s of dollars taking classes to refine and develop our editing process in Lightroom to deliver the best possible images to our clients.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Our 10 hour wedding coverage with Rob and Angela was an incredible experience. We were able to capture a significant amount of photojournalistic images which the couple really appreciated! They invited us into every aspect of their day and we made sure they didn’t regret it! From the intimate moments of getting ready to the unique spectacle of their french bulldog driving into the reception on a power wheels Range Rover! He almost knocked over the cake and we were able to catch the table JUST IN TIME! Needless to say, it is a wedding we won’t soon forget!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would suggest that customers looking to hire a photographer they ENJOY being around! At every wedding we’ve been apart of, we leave as a family friend. You should find a photographer that is more interested in ensuring you have a wonderful wedding day than ensuring they get a pay day.

Ask questions like: 🗓 AVAILABILITY Is our wedding date available? Will you be the one shooting my wedding? Do you have any other weddings the weekend of our wedding? Will you have any assistants with you on our wedding day? ✅ BACKGROUND CHECKS Have you shot weddings similar in style and scope to our wedding? Can we see highlights from your recent weddings? Have you ever shot at our venue - if not - do you intend to scout it out in advance? 🫶🏽STYLISTIC How would you describe your photography style? What would you compare your work to? How do you describe your working style - do you prefer blend in and capture candid moments or do you like to be more visible and take charge to capture choreographed images? Do you shoot digitally, with film or both? What equipment do you use? Is it a full frame camera? 🤖 LOGISTICAL When will we receive the contract? How much is retainer and when is it due?
