The session fee is our base price and includes: *A $500 credit towards printed products *A pre-shoot consultation: This is where we talk over the phone to get to know each other and discuss what you’re looking for, why you need it, and how we can create the best session to capture your vision. *Professional hair and makeup: My talented artist will work with you to create a look that enhances your natural beauty, making you feel confident and camera-ready. *Expert retouching: After the shoot, I professionally edit and retouch your images, ensuring they reflect the best version of you while maintaining authenticity. *An ordering session: You’ll have the opportunity to view your photos and select your favorites. We’ll also discuss options for albums, wall art, and other products if you choose to create something tangible to display in your home or office.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
1. Initial Consultation: It all starts with a phone call where we chat about your vision, your why, and what you're hoping to achieve with your photos. This is my chance to get to know you and tailor the session to fit your personality, style, and goals. 2.Planning the Session: After the consultation, I help you plan everything from outfits to the overall vibe of the shoot. Whether it's a boudoir, branding, or personal portrait session, I make sure you're prepared and excited for the experience. 3.The Shoot Day: When the big day arrives, you'll be pampered with professional hair and makeup by Aleks to help you look and feel your best. During the shoot, I guide you through posing, helping you feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident while capturing stunning images that reflect your unique essence. 4.Image Selection & Ordering Session: After the shoot, we meet again to review your images. You’ll get to choose your favorites, and I’ll help you decide how to display them—whether through digital files or tangible items like albums or wall art. 5. Final Delivery: Once your selections are made, I provide your final, professionally retouched images. If you’ve chosen any products, they’ll be carefully crafted and delivered to your home, offering a beautiful way to remember your experience and enjoy your photos every day.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

At 17, I discovered that my passion for photography. Always feeling like a bit of a misfit, I never quite fit in anywhere but all that changed when I enrolled in a photography class. The darkroom became my sanctuary, where I finally felt a sense of belonging. Fast forward to adulthood I dipped my toes in the corporate world, seeking a sense of security but the longing to photograph wouldn’t leave my bones. Unable to ignore the persistent calling I started Capture Photography and never looked back. Since 2006, I've been fortunate to pursue my dream career, capturing the stories of thousands worldwide. From people of diverse backgrounds, sizes, shapes, genders, and relationships, I've dedicated myself to creating a kingdom for boudoir 'misfits,’ queens just like me. More than that, my mission is to empower clients to see themselves, to love what they see and to finally give themselves permission to truly own their story. I was put on this earth to do exactly what I am doing: photographing all walks of life to celebrate who we truly are as individuals because that’s what makes life so beautiful. You get the end result - a new and profound insight on the best version of yourself that we discover together, through photographs. We aren’t faking it till we make it, we’re actually making it. Welcome to Capture Photography

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
My advice would be to look for a photographer who takes the time to understand you and your story. Photography is about more than just great images—it’s about feeling comfortable and confident during the process. Make sure the photographer you choose listens to your needs and has a genuine interest in capturing who you are, not just what you look like. Also, check their portfolio to ensure their style aligns with your vision, and don’t be afraid to ask questions about their experience, equipment, and process. It’s also important to hire someone who does this as their full-time profession, as they’ll be dedicated and reliable. Make sure they have business insurance, like I do, to protect your session, and look at their reviews—great feedback on Google is always a good sign of a trustworthy photographer.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before talking to professionals about your project, it’s helpful to think through a few key questions: 1. What is my vision? Consider what you want to achieve with your photos. Think about the style, mood, and message you want to convey. This will help you articulate your ideas during the consultation. 2. What is my budget? Having a clear understanding of your budget can help narrow down your options and set realistic expectations for what you can achieve. 3. Who is the audience? If your project is for branding or a specific event, think about who will be viewing the images and how you want to connect with that audience. 4. What type of session do I want? Decide whether you’re interested in a boudoir shoot, branding photography, or something else. This clarity will guide the conversation with your photographer. 5. What are my preferred dates? Consider when you would like to schedule your session. Having a few potential dates in mind can help the professional check their availability. 6. What specific needs do I have? Think about any unique requirements you might have, such as location preferences, specific poses, or inclusion of certain props or themes. 7. How do I want to use the photos? Understanding how you plan to use the images—whether for personal keepsakes, social media, or marketing materials—can influence the style and approach to the shoot. By reflecting on these questions beforehand, you’ll be better prepared to communicate your needs and make the most of your consultation.
