Introduction

My photography journey began when I dusted off the camera my dad gave to me before he passed. I started by taking pictures of my first son over 2 years ago at our home in small town Arkansas. Since then, I have found a profound joy in telling people's stories through pictures, and I have had the privilege of moving my family and business to OKC. As a mom of two, I understand the importance of family pictures and take pride in taking the time to allow my subjects to shine in front of my lens. Capturing the beauty and rarity of each unique point of view in this world one of my life's greatest honors.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My prices include my services, as well as access to my client closet, personalized style guidance, consultation regarding your images and stylistic goals, and 10 images of your choosing. I occasionally offer discounts on full gallery purchases and themed mini sessions.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Upon reaching out, I will work with you to get a better idea for the goals of your session. I will then direct you to my scheduling page where payment (various payment plans available upon request) and contracts are all taken in one convenient spot. We will discuss if you'd like to use any of my client closet pieces and if you'd like to utilize my options to do your picture shopping for you. At your session, I do my best everyone is having fun and relaxed. I don't do rigid posing, but I guide you through prompts that will help your pictures come out natural and beautiful.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a degree in early childhood education, have 3 years of daycare experience and am a mother of 2 toddler, so trust me when I say your young kids will not phase me. I have invested in my photography skills through investments in my equipment and mentorships throughout the years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My dad left me his camera before passing of cancer when I was 19. At the time, I had no interest in photography, and I was pretty confused by his gift. Years later, I decided to start taking pictures of my young toddler and simply never stopped shooting. I like to think he saw something in me before I could see it in myself.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Families, small business owners, seniors, couples, college engineering departments, and more!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I got to take my own baby's one year pictures! It was a very sweet full circle moment. I treasure the ones I got done when my eldest turned one and these feel even more special because I had the honor of taking them myself. I usually am able to deliver pictures about one week after taking them.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find someone with a style you love. My style is true to tone, vibrant and bold. So many of my clients print their images for their home, so when you select a photographer their images should be high enough quality to earn a permanent spot in your home, as well as match the aesthetic of the rest of your house. They should have more to offer than a fancy camera and should truly have a passion for whatever the goal is of your images.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

How do I want these pictures to look? How do I want these pictures to make me and someone else looking at them feel? How will this photographer help me accomplish those goals?
