What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on the amount of time it will take me to complete a project. Incorporated in that price is my many years of experience as a professional, and the equipment I have to use. Depending on your project, gear I may use includes 1 Panasonic GH5S Camera, 2 Panasonic GH5 Cameras, GoPros, Rhino Electronic Slider, Art Lenses, Microphones, Lighting, DJI Drone, and a MacBook Pro.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process with new customers is getting in communication to better understand their needs, vision, and expectations. I always make sure I know exactly what my clients want so that I can deliver the best product possible. I can also answer any questions they may have, and schedule the project!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was accepted into Interactive Media in High School: a 2-year college accredited tech program that was 3/8 of my day throughout high school. There I learned skills in photography, videography, video editing, photo editing, web design, animation, live broadcast and more. Having access to professional equipment and doing projects helped my skills blossom. From there I did an internship with Mills James Productions in Columbus, OH - gaining some real world experience. Since then, I have worked professionally on my own and with other professionals for nearly a decade, gaining much real world experience, continually self educating, and learning from my colleagues.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been passionate about photo / video since I was a kid. When I was 14 I saved up money from my first job as a dishwasher and bought my first video camera, and immediately started making videos with my friends. Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A recent project I did was a photoshoot with Cleveland musician Charity Cunningham. Charity shared her vision with me before the shoot, and was a pleasure to work with. Together we were able to capture her vision beautifully! The project took a couple weeks to complete.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would advise customers to explore providers work, and ensure that their skills align with the vision you have for your project. The cheapest option is not necessarily the best option, especially when it comes to art, or an event that only occurs once. You can count on a highly skilled professional with beautiful samples of work to deliver a your vision.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What are your expectations, or vision for this project? What is budget? How would you like this project delivered? Do you require long-term cloud storage for your project? I'll typically go over all these of things with my clients.
