Introduction

I'm a Wilmington, DE based photographer, specializing in authentic, natural story-telling portraits that show you in a natural light. I'm originally trained as a photojournalist, and I've been practicing photography for years, both as a freelancer, and with other companies. Now I'm finally also working as my own business. I'd be honored to help tell your story!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I charge a session fee which includes an online gallery of full resolution, edited photos, with the ability to download the photos, and take them to the printer of your choice. Portrait session options are either 30 minutes or an hour. Newborn sessions are longer.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to start by asking customers some questions to better understand what they're looking to achieve with their photoshoot. From there, we can decide on a location, length of shoot, etc.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a degree in photojournalism. I've also photographed children and families for many years, and have worked with newborns for the past six years. I also work for a company that does in-hospital newborn sessions.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I've had a desire to take pictures for as long as I can remember. At a young age my family started giving me the camera at family functions, and since then I feel like I have explored all kinds of photography. After working more with children and families, I knew that photographing all stages of adding a new member to the family would be my favorite. And that can mean becoming a family with your partner, or the addition of a child or pet!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with couples, new moms, newborns, children, and families. I've also done headshots, and photos for promotional materials.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would advise looking at the photographer's website, and their particular style to see if that will work for you. And then reach out to them with any questions!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I would think about what type of setting you'd like for your photos. If you can give them an idea of what you're looking for, your photographer should be able to suggest a couple of options for locations and timing.
