Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing depends on the information I receive from clients. Everyone is different and I like to tailor my pricing to their needs. I do have "base" pricing available on my websites. In a world where you get what you pay for, I do not try to compete with everyone who received a camera for Christmas last year, and now they are magically a "photographer". Sure, you can find someone to do your senior pictures for fifty bucks. Sorry, that is not me. Sometimes you just need a Real Photographer. And always there is no need to break the bank. Visit my websites at: Eyefrogs.com and Eyefrogsre.com

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to schedule a one to one conversation to discuss my clients needs and wishes. I have done several jobs from Thumbtack where emails, etc. have worked just fine. Sometimes never actually meeting clients is common, but nothing better than talking things out.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Mostly self educated. Much of my training comes from many hours taking online "classes" via YouTube and sharing information with other photographers. I have attended several of the largest pro photographer conventions in Las Vegas and the things I learned from taking classes offered there was priceless. My experience is mostly years of "hands on" and I am proud to have a great feel for any situation. I am quick to plan and execute depending on what I see that presents itself. My training comes from studying for and passing the part 107 Federal Aviation Administration Commercial drone pilot requirements, and of course from experience. I am a fully licensed and insured drone pilot and I use only the latest and best quality equipment. I started out shooting roof inspections with my drone, but no longer do them, but I will if you need that. Diversity? Yes! I now use drones almost weekly for real estate, commercial and vacation home shoots. Currently, in 2024, I have been flying commercially for 5 years. How time flies! I love to work with my awesome flying cameras!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have a love for nature and have a love for photography. My roots are in landscape photography and I have been a featured artist in 3 local art galleries for a combined total of 25 years. Everything else just fell into place. My business is a result of hard work, learning, and results. The last customer is just as important as the next one. I often work with local designers for business and home projects.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Clients from all walks of life. I have helped business and personal clients alike, and welcome different personalities. I often work with National accounts as well as Local ones. Commercial Real Estate projects, big or small, I've done them all! As of 2024, I would estimate that I have shot well over 1000 homes, and over100 business'. I easily get along with anyone and working towards a common goal can be a fun and exciting experience for everyone! From start to finish, professionalism is key, and yes, having fun is right in there.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
How long something takes depends on the elements of the project. All of the projects I take on are handled quickly and never has anyone said "That took too long." I love what I do, and I will not take on a project I am not comfortable with. I have fun with all projects I take on because that lets me unleash my creative abilities. Knowing my equipment is vital also and I do have the best equipment available to allow creativity to shine through. A recent project? In the summer of 2017, I took a road trip and photographed 13 "Dollar" stores throughout Nebraska and Colorado. The trip took 3 days and I enjoyed the break from the norm. I saw some nice country and met some new people. I also just recently traveled to Medora, ND to shoot a couple vacation homes. It was fun! As of 2024, I have shot quite a few hotels. Give me a shot list or just tell me what you want. I will get it done. I do work for several local building contractors as well.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
"Hire me, and you will have zero regrets. My promise to deliver what I say, IS exactly what I do."

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Again, this depends on the customers needs. Customers often seek advice and that is what they hire a professional for. Part of my job is to offer counsel. I love talking about a project with customers and offering suggestions. Having done what I do for years now, I like to "cover the bases", and anyone who has ever hired a professional photographer quickly realizes that trust is important. Meeting expectations is important.I am not just another person with a camera. Achieving quality results often can be done with little planning. Sometimes you just need a REAL PHOTOGRAPHER and that goes beyond aiming the camera and pushing the button. Ready? Let's have some fun.
