Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I will typically begin by discussing exactly what the customer wants from the photographs. For example, if it is a wedding, there may be specific moments that the bride or groom want captured. If they are looking for the groom's reaction to the father/daughter dance, or during a corporate event, the audience reaction to a specific speaker. These moments are precious, I am always looking for the shots that are the most impactful. I think that's why the photographer you chose maters the most, because not everyone has an eye for these things.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My education has come from some of the best photographers in the country. There is a reason they are the best.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started doing photography for fun because it's always been a passion. However, I took it more seriously when my sister went for professional headshots. She paid a lot of money and the pictures didn't capture her spirit or her beauty at all! So I decided to help her first, then other people asked me to take pictures of them as well. I began training, then professionally taking pictures.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've done weddings, corporate events, professional headshots, acting headshots and modeling photos.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
It is so important to get the right person, I'd also advise looking for someone reliable and who can get the photos back to you in a timely way.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I would say, think through what you want from this photo session. Who do you want to focus on, what kind of message do you want to send.
