Introduction

LG Photography is a Premium Photography Service, providing professional and original content to businesses in the DMV area. About Lindsay: For several years, I was the in-house photographer for various marketing agencies, working with clients of all sizes, from household brands to local start-ups. I never want two images to look or feel the same and therefore I'm consistently challenging myself and looking for unique ways to present my subjects. The idea of photography fascinates me and I love nothing more than getting behind the camera. When I'm out, I'm constantly imagining what my view would look like through the lens. I'm excited to find new ways of telling a story visually and allowing the audience to experience that moment with me.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We have a standard session fee+hourly rates+per-image cost. This allows for flexibility with the client without having to over-charge and over-commit.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I first start with a conversation. I want to understand the business, the project, the requirements, and what will determine success.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I graduate from the University of North Texas with a BA in Radio, Television, and Film. I have been trained on and worked with a wide variety of video, audio, and photography equipment.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have a degree in Radio, TV, Film so I understand all aspects of media and finding different ways to tell a story, even if it is through a static image. I developed an interested in photography while living abroad and quickly fell in love. I have been the photographer for a Congressional Committee on Capitol Hill as well as different marketing agencies around DC for several years.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with government agencies, national and international brands, international coffee brands, fitness brands, and cooking brands, just to name a few. My full list of clients can be found on my website.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of my favorite projects was a single trip to cover three different major wine brands. I was sent to Napa for ten days to photograph their beautiful vineyards and wineries. I was able to capture harvest and the full behind-the-scenes process of making some of the most well known wine brands in America.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Photographers love to understand your project and what you wish to accomplish, but also appreciate some creative flexibility. The view is very different from behind the lens, so make sure you are first satisfied, then let the photographer run wild. Some of my greatest shots were unscripted and unplanned, and I've been so lucky to work with flexible clients.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What do you hope to accomplish with this photo? What message are you trying to send to your audience? Why should someone care about this photo? What is this photo teaching the audience? Am I flexible and open to a different approach?
