Introduction

Hi, I've been a professional photographer for over 20 years. I shoot sports, family, weddings, portraits and boudoir. Our goal is to deliver keepsake images that our customers will treasure. With boudoir photography I always shoot with a female assistant. We do a thorough consultation before the shoot to ensure we understand what the client is looking for. This allows us to design the photoshoot to make the best use of our time together and to make sure the client gets the images they desire.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I typically charge a minimum of $150-275 for a session fee depending on what the client is looking for. Longer shooting sessions which allow for more poses and frequent wardrobe changes are at the higher end of the session fee range. Each session will include a minimum number of digital files. Prints, digital files, albums, etc. can be purchased as desired. If the client has another friend that wants to join in the session then a reduced fee can be negotiated for both.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Our process starts with a consultation which includes gathering a thorough understanding of what the client wants and a review of possible settings and poses. Throughout the shoot, client comfort is our primary concern. We promise quick turnaround on the photos.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Over 20 years experience of doing various types of photography including sports, portrait, event and boudoir.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I began as a wedding and sports photographer. I was approached by a client who wanted to gift her husband some boudoir photos for their anniversary.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with a great variety of clients. Photoshoots have included solo clients, couples and clients who had their photoshoot with a friend both for support and to receive a discount.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I did a recent shoot for a client who had recently gone through a divorce ending an abusive relationship. The client wanted to feel confident and empowered. We completed a great photoshoot in a couple of hours which allowed for numerous changes in wardrobe and locations and resulted in some amazing photos for the client.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
You want to be comfortable with your photographer and you never want to feel rushed. Make sure your photographer is willing to answer all your questions.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I give my clients a questionnaire to complete well in advance of their session. I want to understand what you're hoping to achieve through your session. My questions include things like: is the session for yourself, a gift for someone else, what type of poses are you comfortable with, etc. Thinking about those issues ahead of time is helpful. For many clients, this is their first experience with boudoir photography. I want them to feel comfortable. We do everything we can to make sure you have a wonderful experience. I always shoot with a female assistant/second shooter. Clients are welcome to have a friend with them to encourage them.
