What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I run two discounts currently: referral and package. For referrals, any client that refers someone that books and completes a session will get a 15% discount on a session of their choice. For referring 3 or more clients, the discount increases to 30% off one session. The package discount is 15% off your total session fees when booking two or more sessions at once.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I typically send a quick intake form that just covers some basic questions like location, time, background, and a place for the client to submit any inspiration pictures they are hoping to emulate.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have received hands-on instruction and training from a highly successful wedding photographer, as well as previous experience in media curation and management in the political sphere, where I worked for several years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been a photography hobbyist for over a decade, however I became more serious when I started doing travel photography! I am an avid traveler and take pride in my pictures from all over the world.

What types of customers have you worked with?

My customers have varied from the newly-engaged, to couples wanting portraits for their new home, to family and heirloom photography. I especially love working with children and capturing their innocence and childlike joy on camera.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I took a series of heirloom portraits for four siblings, ages 2-9 years, that was a complete joy. I completed the project as a rush service, taking the portraits and turning around the edited pictures in less than a week.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you like their style! If you can picture yourself in their displayed photos then they would be a good fit for you. Do they strike you as someone you would feel at ease with? Not everyone loves to be in front of the camera, I know, but ideally your photographer is someone you feel comfortable with!

What kind of photos am I looking for? Where would I ideally display these photos? Are there examples I have in mind when I think about this type of photo?
