I enjoy working with clients to understand their vision and making that vision come to life in photos and art. Whether you need head shots for business cards, model portfolio images to expand your look, a couple of sexy prints for a significant other or any other reason you would like to heave your photo taken, I can deliver what you are looking for and more. I like to try new techniques and use new products to offer my clients the most up to date and exciting options for their photographic needs.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I do have a standard pricing that I adhere to for basic services. It consists of $75 per hour of photography. This includes the editing of the images and the online gallery. Prints start at $4 for a 4x5 and go up through $10 for an 8x10 and we have a huge selection of products for the client to choose from.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I typically like to talk to the customer over the phone first to make sure we will be able to work together and I am capable of providing what they are looking for. I then like to meet in person either for coffee or at the studio to go over the requirements and ideas and answer any specific questions for them before the day of the shoot. A shoot typically lasts about 2 hours for a portrait session at the studio. I then edit all of the images I find to be acceptable and put the images in an online gallery, password protected for the client. We then meet again at the studio to go over the images they have chosen and get prints create whether they are paper 4x5 prints, or 30x40 canvas prints to hang over the fireplace.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been working in Photography longer than digital has been around. I also have a certificate from New York Institute of Photography. I am always learning new techniques and trying to work with new people to learn the way others work and incorporating that knowledge into my craft. I keep up with the latest products and equipment in photography and am always working on the newest software for photo editing.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I got started working in photography in High School as the PAO for the JROTC Unit. After High School I apprenticed with a couple of photographers in the area learning dark room and film photography. In 2001 I started my first photography business moving to both film and digital depending on the assignment, and went fully digital in 2004.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I usually work with various types of people from aspiring models to individual portraits and family portraits. I then provide various printing services of touched up photos, and also provide edited digital images to the client if they so desire.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I enjoyed doing a wine and martini glass shoot with the liquid spilling out of the glasses and falling over. It took a few hours to get the images in the camera and another hour or two for the final editing.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be sure the person that you are hiring has at least learned about general photography and isn't just doing it as a hobby. If possible, be sure they have gone to school for photography or art direction, or have a certificate in photography.
