Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing is dependent on the number of images and video segments needed, if there is any processing needed, and the distance travelled to shoot.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I will gather all of the information needed, including location, as there may be airspace authorization considerations to be made. Airspace authorizations, if needed, can take up to a week to acquire depending on the complexity and type of airspace. Conat me and I can give you details about your area.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I'm a Part 61 (Private) pilot since 1998, and a Part 107 Pilot for the past three years. I've taught summer sUAS classes at ECSU, and enjoy having my drones up as often as possible.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have a strong interest in sUAS (drone) aviation and photography and videography, this business is a progression of this.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with realtors, construction contractors, and private parties to get the aerial images and video they required.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Most recently I was asked to do a shoot in Virginia beach, VA. The timeline was challenging as well as airspace considerations. It was an enjoyable projet, and I had another satisfied customer.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be aware of the requirements that the drone pilot is subject to, especially airspace. And that getting a PArt 107 FAA certificate to be authorized to do this work is an investment for them, and will generally render you better results.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Be realistic for your timeline for your project. I want your project to be successful, and planning and looking at all factors involved, (weather, time of day for lighting, airspace considerations), will get you there with a quality product in a reasonable timeline. Let's do this!
