Introduction

I am trained as a photojournalist. I know how to capture the moment, look for interesting angels and not let a surprise moment or event slide pass me without snapping that event in time. Many times, there is on photo that tells the story, being prepared and knowing the situation will achieve high results. You will always get high results from my photo or video skills, no matter what the event is. Capturing the moment or event. Finding new angles, new photo ideas that may have not been tried before. I also like when customers look over the photos and are highly pleased with the results, knowing that they got the best photos or video for their special event.

Q&A

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
With video, there is always continuing education going on. With the latest in 4k video, resolution, editing platforms, cameras, it seems that this media is changing on a monthly basis.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have been doing photography and photojournalism since I was a kid. I love cameras, looking at light and figuring out the best photo for any event. It was just something I always enjoyed doing, it was never work.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Weddings, events, portraits and wildlife photos.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I did a portrait that looked stunning in black and white. I also finished a wedding video that the client just loved. I also like to combine video and photos together, great combination.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Don't hire the cheapest person on the block, hire a seasoned professional, someone with a professional background that knows how to capture the photo, the moment and the light. When you try to hire the lowest bidder, you may regret the results.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Many people think that anyone can take a photo. Digital cameras are cheap, so just push the button and get great results, right? Not true at all. I can't tell you how many times someone has hired a friend at a wedding and the photos come out really bad. It's more then just clicking the shutter, it's capturing the moment, that special moment that can't be repeated or re-staged. A professional like myself knows how to get that moment, can anticipate that moment and get excellent results.
