Introduction

I am a makeup artist who sees the beauty in everyone I work with. My specialty is to accentuate your best features and make you look flawless for your Event, Photo, or Video shoot. With over 20yrs. working as a commercial makeup artist in production and photo shoots with celebrities, pro athletes, top VPs, etc. I have developed the ability to work in every environment with every skin color and personality, male or female. I still very much love what I do every day and constantly strive to improve with each job. Doing makeup for weddings and events was something I used to reserve for close friends and exclusive clients. I enjoyed that work and since moving to CA I have opened that service up to the public. I don't offer hair services for weddings but work with some awesome professional hair stylists. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge $125ea. for Makeup. I specialize in Airbrush but can use a regular foundation if you prefer. The rate is the same. I prefer booking parties with a minimum of 4 and can take as many as 10

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First is understanding their needs for my service. Once that is established I go over my process for accomplishing that. It's really important for me to understand exactly what style of makeup and hair my clients are looking for. I have them view my web site and profile page so they can see my work and we go from there.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My career started in retail as a Cosmetic Dept. Manager, then I moved in to direct sales. From there I entered the world of Freelance makeup artistry. I have had constant training on product knowledge and application throughout my entire career and continue to train. I was professionally trained at The Makeup Institut of San Diego and was trained in airbrush by Dinair of Hollywood.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My love for makeup started as a Senior in High School which is when I started working retail in Cosmetics. From there I went to direct sale and after taking a break to raise my children I entered the world of freelance makeup artistry 18 yrs. ago and I still passionately love it every day!!

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with big name TV actors and personalities, Celebrities walking the red carpet, Olympic Athletes, Super Bowl, and World Series Athletes. Nascar and Moto GP racers, NFR Champion Cowboys & Cowgirls, United States Supreme Court Justice, VP of some of the top Companies in the US, to name a few.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I enjoy every project I work on. One of my favorites was working with Howard Schultz CEO of Starbucks mainly because Starbucks is such a part of my life...

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I have over 18 years of experience in this profession and that brings a lot to the table. I have a background in business which allows me to work in all types of environments. I've worked with VP"s of Corporations as well as MVP and Olympian athletes and countless celebrities. I know how to adapt to all situations and personalities on set!

It is helpful if you know how many people will be needing my service as the price and timeline cannot be determined until this is defined.
