Introduction

Hi there! My name is Vani Leon. I am a CA Licensed Esthetician, and owner of Vani Leon Beauty. My passion and knowledge of skincare and makeup artistry, combined with my enhancing and natural approach will ensure that you look and feel beautiful on the inside and out. I have over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, during which I have worked in Bridal, Special Event, and production (TV/Film/Commercial) fields. Through my experience I’ve had the opportunity to work with men and women from all backgrounds, ages, skin tones and skin types. This has provided me with a great advantage when bringing your vision to life and I pride myself on my ability to work with a diverse clientele. I enjoy building a relationship with my clients, and truly believe efficient communication is the key when it comes to executing your vision to perfection. Whether you want a clean and polished look for a special night out or a glamorous and timeless look for your wedding, I will make sure you love what you see in the mirror. The goal with every client is to enhance your features, while preserving your natural beauty. I strive to make each and every client feel comfortable, confident and beautiful.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
The pricing for makeup and hair shown on my profile ($150) is not for Bridal makeup and hair services; this is my starting rate for special event/non-bridal services. I can send a Wedding Hair and Makeup Services pricing list if requested. The rates reflected on here do not include a travel fee beyond my local radius (San Leandro, San Lorenzo, certain areas of Oakland and Castro Valley). I charge a flat rate for locations beyond the previously mentioned. Once I have your location, I can provide an accurate quote for services and travel fee if applicable.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
When working with a new customer, I first chat with them to get a thorough idea of what services they are interested in, provide information, insight, suggestions and answer any questions. I then provide a quote for all requested services. Once the quote has been reviewed and accepted I prepare a contract, and send it to the client for review and approval. Once the contract has been signed and retainer has been paid, the event/appointment date is officially confirmed.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
California Licensed Esthetician since July 2022, professionally trained by Dermalogica.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Please understand that a well versed, professional artist knows what products work best on different skin types, tones and textures and what products work best with each other. Trust their judgement because they know what they're doing. Their portfolio is a reflection of their work. The best advice I can give regarding trusting the artist, is simply look at their portfolio and see if their style of work aligns with what you're looking for i.e. if you want a natural, skin focused look choose an artist who emphasizes this look in their clients.
