We specialize in application techniques that give our hair and make-up styling maximum longevity Experience Sue Slutsky is the founder and owner of Kinetics cosmetics. In addition to being a freelance makeup artist in the tri-state area of NY we also now extend bridal services in South Florida from Palm Beach to Miami. Sue owns a successful skincare and makeup business both retail and on-line. Having had boutiques in 5 major resorts in NY Sue specializes in special event makeup. Services Offered Kinetics offers a wide array of both hair and makeup styling. We offer consultations and trials by appointment prior to the day of the wedding. We work closely with every bride to find the exact look you’ve always dreamed of so you can feel confident on your big day! Our team will travel to your venue site for both hair and makeup styling on the wedding day. If desired, we will stay throughout the duration of the wedding ceremony and picture taking until reception begins. We can accommodate groups of 12 people. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Makeup prices brides -$150. bridal party-$125. flower girls ( under 10) $55. Add ons: Airbrush foundation $20. and Lashes $20.00 Hair prices slightly vary but usually $150 to $175

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We encourage a bridal trial prior to the wedding day for the bride but it is up to the bride. We are very service oriented so we review all the requests , details and visions the bride has and make them come true.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been a makeup artist for over 30 years. I started in NYC as a freelance artist. I worked with many major brands including Clinique, Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden etc. training makeup artists to work for these lines in Department stores. I also taught at a company called Stage Light Cosmetics in their school in NYC. , teaching classes such as makeup for photography (black and white and color) as well as training artists wanting to go into the industry.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Having had cosmetic boutiques at 4 major resorts in the Catskills I have worked with all types of customers of all ethnic backgrounds doing event makeup as well as lessons on daily routines.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

My projects are bridal other than my business at my shop. All brides and families are special and I adore working with them so it is hard to pinpoint one project. I guess when I have a wedding party and I am doing makeup for 3 different generations and all are thrilled with how they look it gives me so much satisfaction. As far as timing if the makeup is for bridal we like to leave 40 minutes for each person. If lashes and airbrush are being added, we generally add more time for that.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Before choosing an artist or stylist to work with, make sure to talk to them , not just thru text or e-mail. Your wedding is a very special day and I truly believe you really get a better sense of that professional when you actually talk to them.

Availability portfolio reviews personality- will the artist make you feel relaxed and confident on your wedding day. how organized they are in planning for that day- scheduling
