What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer a discounted price of $125 for a makeup trial and for the day of, for brides. My price ranges from $75 to $200, this depends on my travel time and and any additional makeup needs or products.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Usually, when I'm working with a new customer, I ask for a picture or for a brief, self description. Such as skin tone, hair and eye color. As well as if there are any specific makeup products that's required or if there are any skin allergies, that I need to be aware of. Also, I advise my client that I work from a fully stocked makeup kit and with my own brushes, unless there is a specific request.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Over three decades ago, I trained with one of the top makeup artist in the industry, the founder of ILMakiage cosmetics. During that time, I also conducted professional classes for ILMakiage Academy. I've since obtained a NY State Certification as a makeup instructor and held a position at Makeup Designory Academy in NYC.

What types of customers have you worked with?

During my years as Head Makeup Artist for MTV Networks, I worked with top musicians and high profile personalities in the entertainment Industry. In the more recent years, I've continued to work with actors and models for TV Commercials and Print Ad Campaigns.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

In December, 2021, I worked on TV Commercial, for Holland America Lines. Most of it was shot on the ship while it was sailing to the Bahamas, Aruba and Curacao. The cast consisted of eight, three couples & two kids. They were a variety of skin tones and age groups. I was kept busy throughout the day and truly enjoyed the terrific work environment and diverse personalities on the set.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The best advice I would give a customer who's looking to hire a makeup artist is to ensure their brushes are clean & the products they are using is of the best quality! And that he or she understands what your makeup needs are and the look that you've going for.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Customers should have an idea of how experienced the makeup artist is. What products they work with or if they were comfortable working with yours. And if they would be able to execute the look that you have in mind.
