Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I am willing to work with you. If you have a budget that you want to stay in but want to book me, we can discuss pricing.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I really want to find out your needs and what your vision is. I like to ask a lot of questions before I put any makeup on. I want it to be perfect. I always do a trial run so we can try different things to make sure that your vision is being achieved. Doing all of these things helps to make the actual day run seamlessly.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
MAC Cosmetics provided training and certifications but I am 100% self-taught.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I began by doing makeup for friends. Then I became employed by MAC Cosmetics. Now I work for myself.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I feel like I have done a little bit of everything. Women going out on the town, brides, cheerleaders (professional and high school). I have done birthday parties and Quinceanera’s. Male grooming for head shots and women’s headshots. People needing Halloween makeup for a costume party. Male grooming for a photo shoot. Makeup for videography for businesses.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
About 5 and a half hours for makeup completion. I was there for 12 hours in total to do any retouching between pictures, ceremony and reception.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure that you do a trial run for anything. You want to be sure this is who you want to be a part of your day.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
How long they have been doing makeup? What kind of makeup do you use? Make sure you have an idea/vision of what you want. Show them pictures and ask if they can achieve that look. Make them do a trial of the look so you are sure.
