Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing will start at $85 for a simple makeup face and go up from there depending on what is needed. I may charge extra for travelling fees and or parking fees depending on circumstances.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Before we start, I will ask questions of what is to be expected of your look. I will also ask for constructive criticism at the end of the application and make appropriate changes if needed. It is very important to me that my clients leave feeling satisfied and confident with their look!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I attended London Eyes International Makeup School in 2015 and successfully completed 3 programs. I also attended a few courses at Makeup First.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always had a passion for art! As a teenager I became very interested in exaggerated colors and eyeshadow art which led to me practicing for hours on myself for many years until I started receiving request from family and friends. My interest grew from this point on and I became eager to learn as much as I could!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked mostly with wedding parties, proms and special events for traditional beauty makeup. However, I do have a great deal of experience with special effects/Halloween makeup and love every opportunity to create these fun looks! I have worked for a haunted house doing makeup as well as Halloween makeup for my personal clients.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
My best advice for all seeking a makeup artist would be to hire someone who has been professionally trained. There are many talented artists however, those who attend school are trained beyond skill and talent including proper hygiene, sanitation and professional client care. From personal experience, I can say with confidence there is so much I've learned during my training on how to properly conduct myself as a professional Makeup Artist and how to properly clean, sanitize and apply makeup to ensure safety to clients.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Clients should share their expectations and ask artist of their capabilities.
