What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I’m a certified makeup artist. I received my certification from London Eyes Inc., International Academy of makeup. Prices are according to service. I accept cash payments and all major credit cards.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Asking my clients questions, for example, do you have dry or oily skin? This will really help me choose what foundation and products to use on my client. Another important question for me to ask is, what look are you going for? A soft look or a full glamorous look? Asking a few questions at first can really make a difference in helping my clients feel comfortable, which is the number one most important thing for me.

I am a Certified Makeup Artist (London Eyes Inc. International Academy of Makeup)

How did you get started doing this type of work?

What made me want to be a makeup artist did not just happen overnight. It was years of practicing on my loved ones and close friends. For instance, applying their makeup for events such as weddings, dinner parties, and dates. Helping them feel good about themselves made me feel amazing. Having such positive feedback encouraged me. It was just the beginning for me.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with brides, models, event makeup. I have clients that come in two or three times a week, morning or evening hours.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently helped a client with a basic makeup lesson. It was my honor to help her achieve the knowledge and confidence to look and feel better about herself. It took approximately two hours. At the end of the lesson, she stated she felt confident and couldn’t wait to practice the techniques everyday.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for someone with knowledge in the field. Someone who is educated in the art of makeup.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Pricing for event? What look are they going for? How long will the look take?
