How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I had a scholarship for art when i was younger but did nothing with it. I worked in the banking industry. Met my husband, had two amazing children who i wanted to be home with them . My mother had a small cake decorating business and I decided I would like to do something while they were young. So while they slept I would build huge cakes. When making wedding cakes I would deal with the brides. I loved the idea of wedding and decorating, at one point there was an illness in the family and i decided at that time I would go back to school for esthetics. Since then Ive been in classes, working, learning, facial, make-up, skin care, eye lashes, studying with Master Make-up artist and have been assistant to a celebrity make up artist. I still work with them when there is a need.

unfold fold
Definitely look at their work, referrals, availability, and of course their personality. Explain what your looking for and see if your on the same page as your artist.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Its make up, if the first look doesn't feel or look right, then on to the next. Its not because the Make-up artist is inexperienced, maybe the colors or placement of the powder. Sometime unrealistic goals....I suggest going on pinterest and looking for looks that would look good on your face and structure. Sometimes people think thats the look you want but every face structure is different. There might be some a little tweaking.
