What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Determining location, time and style of makeup and then accepting a 50% deposit to reserve the date.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a salon managers license, an international esthetician certificate and 10 years of hands on experience. I read every industry periodical and always play with new looks and techniques. I take continuing ed classes when available.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I fell in love with the transformative powers of makeup and an early age and I couldn't stay away from the industry!

What types of customers have you worked with?

Everyone! Women, men, young, mature, every skin tone and face shape. I've worked with photographers, models and a hand full of celebrities. But my favorite clients are regular people who want to look their best.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I did a wedding for 14 people total and stayed all day and night for touch-ups. The groom had a skin emergency that developed over the day. I neutralized the offender and then covered up the evidence so he could dance away the rest of the night away.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure your chosen artist is not only willing and able to listen and incorporate your ides about your makeup application, but to also help guide you toward an ideal makeup look.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What time do you need to be ready for your event? Do you have any special needs that your makeup artist should know about?
